Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment
We are actively working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines help make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and more usable for everyone.
We evaluate and improve accessibility on an ongoing basis as we build and update the platform.
What We Are Doing
- Using semantic HTML elements to support screen readers
- Providing ARIA labels and roles on interactive components
- Ensuring all form fields have associated labels
- Maintaining sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for text)
- Designing for keyboard navigation throughout the platform
- Avoiding content that flashes more than three times per second
- Providing text alternatives for non-text content where applicable
- Testing with screen readers and accessibility audit tools on an ongoing basis
Known Limitations
We are a small team actively building this platform. Some areas of MENTOR may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. Known limitations include:
- Some charts and data visualizations may not yet have full screen reader descriptions
- Older session entries may have limited semantic structure
- Some third-party components (Stripe payment forms) are governed by their own accessibility standards
Technical Standards
MENTOR is built on standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We target the following standards:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA (target standard)
- WAI-ARIA 1.1 for dynamic content and custom components
- Compatible with modern screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver
- Compatible with keyboard-only navigation
- Responsive design supporting 200% browser zoom without loss of functionality
Third-Party Content
MENTOR uses a small number of third-party services. Stripe (payment processing) and certain embedded tools may have their own accessibility standards and limitations outside our direct control. We select partners who take accessibility seriously.
